Policies

We're working through a refresh of all our club policies and procedures to make sure they're clear, helpful, and easy to understand. They will be published here as they're finalised.

If you have a question or situation that isn't covered by a published policy, we'd love to hear from you - it helps us make sure we're covering what matters most to our members. Reach out to our Club Secretary at secretary@samfordnetball.org.au

Thank you for your patience and support!

Samford Netball Code of Behaviour

The Samford Netball Club adopts the Downey Park Netball Association Codes of Behaviour.

Reminder - it's positive or it's pointless!

Registration Fees Refund Policy

Samford Netball Club recognises that unforeseen circumstances may prevent players from completing a season. This policy sets out the conditions under which refunds of registration fees may be considered.

Eligible Circumstances for Partial Refund

Registration fees may qualify for partial refund when a player's season participation is cut short due to:

  • Injury
  • Illness
  • Unforeseen family circumstances

Refund Request Process

All refund requests must be:

  • Submitted in writing
  • Addressed to the Club Secretary
  • Supported with sufficient detail for review by the Executive Committee

Voluntary Withdrawal

If a player withdraws after grading and team allocations have been completed, and the request does not meet the above eligible circumstances:

  • A $100 administration fee will be withheld from any approved refund amount

External Fee Considerations

Please be advised of the following important external fee policies:

  • Netball Queensland fees are non-refundable once a player has participated in any match
  • Downey Park Association fees are non-refundable once a player has taken the court

Review and Decision

  • The Executive Committee reviews all refund requests on a case-by-case basis in line with this policy.
  • All decisions made by the Executive Committee are final.

Grading, Team and Coach Allocation Policy

Our grading process is designed to be fair, consistent, and transparent. Each season, our independent grading panel assesses players across a range of criteria including technical skills, court awareness, adaptability, and team dynamics - with every placement decision made thoughtfully and with care.

We know results don't always land the way families hope. What we can promise is that every team offers real opportunities for players who are committed to growing their game.

Our full Grading, Team and Coach Allocation Policy and Review Procedure are available to all members. For general questions, contact the Coaching Convenor or Club President. For formal review requests, please contact the Club Secretary.
